A tribute to Lucian Freud.
Lucian Freud was a twentieth century artist who specialised in portrait painting. The exhibition at the National Gallery presents a series of paintings covering the painter's entire career.
More than a hundred portraits are on show, illustrating the evolution of Lucian Freud's style and showcasing the strengths of each painting relative to the other. Several paintings are also being presented to the public for the very first time.
