The One and Only British National Museum…
The Tate Britain Gallery is the country's national art gallery, one of the four to conserve and display the works of the "Tate collection" - the three other galleries are the Tate Modern in London, the Tate Liverpool, and the Tate St Ives in Cornwall. The works presented at the Tate Britain allow visitors to retrace the history of English art from the Tudors (XVIth) to the present day. Also, the Tate's mission statement is to promote British Art overseas by lending works, collaborating, etc.
